Job summary

Squishable.com, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales performance, lead the store team, and maintain brand standards in our fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, highly organized, and comfortable working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, challenging, and creative customer-facing environment.
• 2–5 years of customer service experience.
• Passion for people! A dynamic and engaged leader with a passion for empowering, inspiring, motivating, teaching, and developing team members.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and developing the store team, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training.
• Setting and executing business strategies for the store in partnership with the Regional Manager.
• Opening and closing the store and handling day-start/day-end cash.
• Ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely restocking of merchandise.
• Maintaining high merchandising standards and an energetic store environment.
• Supporting all POS transactions and customer inquiries.
• Adhering to company policies, practices, and safety standards.

What does a Squishable Store Manager do?

The Store Manager oversees the daily operations of the store and is accountable for its sales performance, its team, and its standards. Responsibilities include:

• Leading, motivating, and developing the store team, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training
• Setting and executing business strategies for the store in partnership with the Regional Manager
• Opening and closing the store (at times on your own) and taking responsibility for accurate day-start and day-end cash handling
• Ensuring accurate inventory levels and punctual restocking of merchandise on the floor
• Maintaining a high standard of merchandise presentation
• Maintaining enthusiasm and motivation in the store, and ensuring a fun and memorable environment
• Supporting all types of POS transactions and customer inquiries
• Adhering to all company policies, practices, and safety standards

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, challenging, and creative customer-facing environment
• 2–5 years of customer service experience
• Passion for people! A dynamic and engaged leader with a passion for empowering, inspiring, motivating, teaching, and developing team members
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and highly entrepreneurial environment

• High emotional intelligence, with the ability to work with and manage diverse teams by being empathetic, intuitive, self-motivated, and driven

• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Able to transport stock as required, including lifting cartons up to 25 lbs.
• Must be 18 or older

Compensation

Pay range for this position is $23.00-$24.00 per hour
