Job summary

Florida International University is seeking a Temporary Research Program Coordinator to support the CPHSW School of Social Work team. The role includes training staff in home visits and cognitive testing, screening participants, obtaining informed consent, and capturing data at participants' homes.

Job Summary

The CPHSW School of Social Work is currently seeking a Temporary Research Program Coordinator to join their team of professionals.

Duties
  • Training of team members in home visit and cognitive testing procedures
  • Primary duties include screening participants, scheduling and completing drop-off and pick-up of study materials at participants' homes
  • Complete informed consent with participants
  • Capture data from participants in their homes; assist with research tasks such as preparation, formatting, translating, and proofing of study materials including recruitment flyers, questionnaires, and other items
  • Handling of biospecimens
  • Assists with data storage, management, and cleaning as needed
  • Coordinate recruitment events and schedule participant interviews as needed
  • Assist in the preparation, formatting, and proofing of presentations, manuscripts, and literature reviews
  • Participate in all project-related meetings
  • Supervise 3–4 student research assistants
  • Requires a vehicle and willingness to travel throughout Miami‑Dade and Broward counties (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; or four (4) years of office or related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Positions under National Forensic Science Technology Center will require a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization in a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and/or military experience.
