Job Summary

The Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory of Dr. Chrysikou (www.chrysikoulab.com) is seeking a Research Associate to assist with our basic and translational research program on the neural bases of cognitive flexibility, higher-order thought, and goal-oriented action. Our research lab is part of the Applied Cognitive and Brain Sciences Program (http://drexel.edu/coas/academics/graduate-programs/psychology-applied-cognitive-brain-science/) within the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Drexel University (http://drexel.edu/coas/academics/departments-centers/psychology/). We are a highly interdisciplinary group using cognitive neuroscience methods such as functional neuroimaging, neuropsychological studies, and noninvasive brain stimulation to investigate cognitive and affective regulation in health and disease.

Essential Functions

  • The position will involve assisting in all aspects of preparing and implementing behavioral, fMRI, and neurostimulation experiments, with opportunities to conduct publishable independent research.
  • Collect and analyze data.
  • Prepare progress reports for the PI.
  • Request or acquire equipment or supplies necessary for the project.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in BS or BA in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or Biology and should have background and experience in one or more neuroscience methods, including psychophysiology, fMRI, tDCS.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Superior organizational and advanced computer programming and statistical skills (EPrime, Python, Matlab, R, SPSS) are strongly preferred.

This is a Part-time temporary position classified as non-exempt. The pay offered is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
