Job summary

Vista Health seeks a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) for the Telemetry unit to deliver high-quality nursing care on a fast-paced telemetry floor. Responsibilities include assessing patients, monitoring rhythms, administering therapies, and educating families. This temporary role includes 13 weeks of assignment with day and night shifts.

Required: Illinois RN license, BLS; ACLS within 6 months, NIHSS within 30 days. BSN preferred; 2+ years Telemetry experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years Telemetry or related nursing experience.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and communicate significant findings.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs.
• Respond effectively to emergent situations and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

Reports To:Nurse Manager, Telemetry

Pay: Days $65/hr, Nights $70/hr

Position Summary

Vista Health is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to patients on our Telemetry Unit. The RN is responsible for assessing patient conditions, planning and implementing care, monitoring telemetry rhythms, administering treatments and medications, evaluating outcomes, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
