Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a PRN night schedule. This 13-week assignment offers a flat rate of $60.00 per hour and the chance to deliver compassionate care in a rural community.

You’ll work with an experienced ED team, applying skills across the lifespan, while ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital policies. Certifications must be maintained per timelines.

Qualifications

• Current VA or Compact RN license.
• One year of ED experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months.
• Advanced Stroke Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the ED.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development over the life span and assess data to identify patients’ age-specific needs.
• Supervise, coordinate, and delegate patient care ensuring efficiency and compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
• Demonstrate professionalism by participating in performance improvement activities and applying nursing research.
