Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices seeks a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This 13-week assignment offers a flat rate of $60.00 per hour and a PRN Nights schedule in a rural ED with 13 beds.

The RN will deliver high‑quality patient care to a diverse population and support performance improvement activities. Required VA or compact RN license, ED experience preferred, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as specified.

Qualifications

• One year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire or orientation.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months.
• Advanced Stroke Course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in the Emergency Department across the age spectrum.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate assessment and data interpretation.
• Supervise and coordinate patient care per hospital policies and scope of practice.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and apply nursing research.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for ED patients during shifts.

Schedule: PRN Nights

13‑Week Temporary Assignment

Flat rate of $60.00 per hour

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide high‑quality patient care to a diverse patient population in a 13‑bed rural ED.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the ED.
• Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, and assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age‑specific needs.
• Supervise, coordinate, and delegate patient care in a manner which ensures that patient needs are managed efficiently, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
• Apply knowledge to practice through participation in performance improvement activities and application of nursing research.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all care for patients admitted to the ED during shift.

Qualifications

• Current VA or compact RN license.
• One year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire or prior to completion of orientation if 30 days before hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months.
• Advanced Stroke Course preferred.
