Apple Rehab Rocky Hill in Rocky Hill, CT, seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents in a 100-bed long-term care facility. You will ensure compliance with dietary regulations and collaborate with Dietary Managers, Nursing, and Administrators.

The role involves monitoring resident weights and nutrition intake, recommending dietary plans and supplements, and participating in weekly At Risk meetings to support resident health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long-term care.
• Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
• Knowledge of dietary practices, regulations and guidelines for long-term care.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Self-motivated, flexible, cooperative team player.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents and ensure compliance with dietary regulations.
• Counsel and/or direct Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as needed.
• Participate in weekly At Risk meetings and monitor resident weights and nutrition intake.
• Make diet and supplementary recommendations as warranted.

Apple Rehab Rocky Hill is a 100-bed skilled nursing center located right off the Silas Dean Highway in Rocky Hill CT. Our facility features private and semi-private rooms that our spacious enough to fit their favorite chair. Rate: $38+

Type: Full-Time Temporary position with the potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of the assignment.

Job Description

Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care for residents in facility. Ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice offering counsel and/or directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary. The Registered Dietitian participates in weekly “At Risk” meetings, monitors resident weights and nutrition intake as well as makes recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs.

Qualifications Required

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting.
• Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
• Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.
