Apple Rehab Rocky Hill, a 100-bed skilled nursing center in Rocky Hill, CT, seeks a Housekeeping Aide to provide quality housekeeping services and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff. You will clean resident rooms and bathrooms on a scheduled basis, manage supplies, and work with the team to meet high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

Ideal candidates read labels in English, stay calm under pressure, and can lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
• Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
• Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
• Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
• Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeping Aide cleans assigned areas of the facility, including resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high cleanliness standards.
• Plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to residents and staff.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department.
• The Housekeeping Aide assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.

Apple Rehab Rocky Hill is a 100-bed skilled nursing center located right off the Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill CT. Our facility features private and semi-private rooms that are spacious enough to fit their favorite chair. Job Description

The Housekeeping Aide provides quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.

As defined in job routines or department instructions, the Housekeeping Aide cleans assigned areas of the facility, included but not limited to: resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program. The Housekeeping Aide plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff. Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department. The Housekeeping Aide assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.
