CHS Inc. is hiring a Temporary Propane Field Service Technician. The role involves performing propane installation, repair and delivery work in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include invoicing, handling customer complaints, maintaining paperwork, and contributing to departmental efficiency while supporting a strong safety culture. On-call hours may apply; CDL/HazMat requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance and/or Field Service Maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Experience with power tools and other tools needed to complete LP service work.

• Participate in increasing departmental efficiency and reducing operational costs.
• Support a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Knowledge of Production, Operations, and/or Maintenance and/or Field Service Maintenance

• CETP certifications or ability to obtain
• CDL with hazmat, airbrake and tank endorsement or ability to obtain
• Ability to work additional hours and be on-call as needed
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, sit, stand, bend and kneel
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
