Job summary

CHS Inc. in Laurel, MT is seeking a Union Hazmat Truck Driver to deliver refined fuels and propane to CHS locations, ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement is required.
• 2+ years of verifiable tractor trailer experience.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of required repairs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and loading/unloading products.
• Deliver refined fuels and propane gas to CHS customer locations safely and on time.
• Follow all guidelines for hauling bulk liquids including Petroleum, Propane, and Anhydrous Ammonia.
• Maintain safety culture and report hazards; correct unsafe actions or conditions.

Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Transportation Division. We are looking for Union Hazmat Truck Driver in Laurel, MT area to deliver refined fuels and propane gas to CHS customer locations in a safe and efficient manner.

Compensation Data

• Salary $30/HR and $.59 per mile.
• This is a Union role wages are based on a collective bargaining agreement

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections as well as loading and unloading products.
• Deliver refined fuels and propane gas to CHS customer locations in a safe, punctual, and efficient manner.
• Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling bulk liquid products to include, but not limited to Petroleum, Propane, and Anhydrous Ammonia.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
• Maintain electronic logs and on-board computer with each shipment.
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Pick up and deliver product to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Report all accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles.
• Driving Tractor Trailer delivering various types of tanker loads to various customers.
• Loading and unloading (hooking up loading arms, hooking and unhooking hoses for unloading).
• Filling out daily load/unload reports.
• Conducting pre and post trip inspections.
• Various duties as assigned (hooking and unhooking etc.).

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement
• 2+ years of verifiable tractor trailer experience
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications

• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements
