Job summary

The Boston Conservatory at Berklee seeks a Temporary Production Manager to oversee production and stage management for its off-campus Rake’s Progress at the Wimberly Theatre. You’ll report to the Assistant Director of Production, supervise stage management, and coordinate with design staff and guest designers through a May 3, 2027 end date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theater, Dance, Music, Arts Administration or similar field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years experience in production management/technical direction/stage management
• 3+ years experience supervising professional staff
• Experience as event manager or similar role
• Higher education experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in production meetings, recording and disseminating information, scheduling and leading meetings
• Create and maintain detailed production calendar for creative teams and leadership
• Create labor lists and disseminate information to staff for proper staffing
• Coordinate transportation needs for trucking with Conservatory staff
• Monitor production budgets and liaise with directors on costs to balance budget
• Uphold deadlines and consult with production staff and guest designers as needed
• Collaborate with Concert Services for pit orchestras and ensembles
• Attend load-in days, designer run, work calls, tech and dress performances
• Create end-of-day reports for production, creative team and venue staff
• Be on site for strike and post-show pick-ups
