Job summary

Berklee College of Music's Boston Conservatory at Berklee is seeking a Temporary Production Electrician to support the Lighting Supervisor for the opera Rake’s Progress at the Wimberly Theatre in April 2027.

Work will include hang/focus/strike, coordinating tech rehearsals, and maintaining lighting notes; some remote work is possible with on-site presence from late March to mid-April. Nights and weekends are required, through May 3, 2027.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience as a professional theatrical electrician / master electrician or similar experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary performing arts preferred.
• Experience working in higher education institutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lighting Supervisor on hang, focus, and strike calls.
• Coordinate coverage of technical rehearsals, including weekends and evenings.
• Disseminate lighting production notes promptly and maintain equipment repairs.
