Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado in Boulder is seeking an Associate I, Retail Production to process and sort donated items, price and test as needed, and decide which items go to the sales floor. This role emphasizes quality standards and customer service.

The position is temporary with potential to stay on; weekday morning openings are preferred. Pay is $16.87 per hour, and Daily Pay is available. Safety and teamwork are emphasized to keep the sales floor well stocked.

Qualifications

One year of retail experience preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.

Responsibilities

Process and sort donated items to determine placement on the sales floor.
Price, tag, and prepare items for sale according to store standards.
Inspect items and perform quick tests to ensure working condition.
Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers; assist with product questions.
Keep production and sales floor areas organized, stocked, and merchandised.
May assist with processing E-Commerce items (sort, hang, size, price, and tag).
Follow all safety procedures and store policies; maintain clean work areas.

Pay: $16.87 Hr.

For this position, we are looking for availability to work weekday morning/opening shifts.

This is a Temporary position. There is potential to stay on with Goodwill after the temporary position is over. This position will work to process donated items into inventory to be sold in our Stores and will interact with customers while stocking the sales floor. Excellent customer service skills are a must!

Job Summary

The Associate I, Retail Production will primarily work in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold. This process includes pricing and testing guidelines as required. The Associate is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The Associate may occasionally be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service. The Associate may be assigned to various areas that they have been trained in to include hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes per the business needs. This position may occasionally work in donations.

Essential Functions

Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI)s for assigned duties.
Sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.) which include season, color, and quality of product.
Hang, size and price, tag, and prepare items to be sold on the sales floor.
Inspect and quick test items as needed that plug-in or run on batteries to ensure the product is in good workable condition.
Make decisions to price according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (good, better, best), which may include researching the item’s value on the internet or utilizing other company tools and standards.
Ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
Provide excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers; answer product questions as needed.
Rotate or pull old or unsold product in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed as necessary.
May have additional responsibility of processing E-Commerce product (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.).
Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
Ensure work areas are clear and organized and adhere to continuous improvement standards.
Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Cross-train in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.
Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.

Education

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
