Job summary

Alliant Energy in Pardeeville, WI, invites you to join the Columbia Energy Center as Equipment Operator Operations - Special Temp. This hands-on role offers exposure to turbine, boiler, coal handling, and auxiliary systems in a power-generation setting.

Under supervision you will perform startup/shutdown, routine maintenance, data readings, and safety procedures while supporting daily plant operations. Notable responsibilities include oil handling, lubrication, and operating air quality control

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in an electric generating facility is preferred.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep turbine, boiler and coal handling equipment neat and operating.
• Lubricate bearings and oil systems.
• Ensure auxiliary equipment operates correctly.
• Operate ash and slag handling systems.
• Take readings and record data.
• Start up and shut down turbine and boiler auxiliaries.
• Perform routine maintenance when not operating.
