Assignments are made according to the College’s instructional needs and may occur during daytime or evening hours. Final teaching schedules may change as needed to ensure adequate coverage. Scheduling remains flexible.

Training is located at Camden County Technical School – 343 Berlin Cross Keys Road, Sicklerville, NJ.

Position Goals

· Career and Technical Institute Substitute Instructor for HVAC will report directly to the Workforce Training and Continuing Education Program Supervisor and will provide effective, on‑call instruction when the regular teacher is unavailable. To ensure uninterrupted training in the HVAC program, the substitute teacher will deliver classroom and hands-on instruction based on lesson plans and materials provided by the regular instructor.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

· 5 years of experience in the field.

· Prior teaching experience preferred.

· Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations and document student progress.

· Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement.

· High School Diploma or GED .

· Field-related license/certification including, but not limited to, a minimum of OSHA 10 and EPA 608 certification. A New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor license is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· This position requires mobility throughout the campus.

· Dexterity in working with computers is mandatory.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while teaching in a classroom and lab settings.

· Ability to lift, carry, and move HVAC -related equipment or training materials up to 50lbs.

· Sufficient manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools and training equipment.

· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb and reach when demonstrating equipment installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
