Job summary

Oklahoma State Department of Health seeks a Temporary Special Educator I, II, or III to support children with developmental delays in home or childcare settings. You will provide health, developmental and educational services, screen and assess progress, and support families to promote learning and growth.

Positions range from Level I to III, with responsibilities scaling by level. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s is preferred for higher levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field and valid teaching certificate (preferred)
• Master’s degree and certifications align with Level III requirements
• Ability to assess cognitive, social, emotional, language and motor development

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention services in child’s natural environment.
• Conduct intakes and family interviews; develop recommendations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams; monitor IFSP progress.
• Maintain confidential records per state/federal rules.
• Coordinate transitions from early intervention to school settings.
