Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a Temporary Part-time Faculty of Pediatrics, Occupational Therapy to teach courses during Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027. Applicants will teach various subjects including problem-based learning, community occupational therapy, and evidence-based practice.

Temporary Part-time Faculty of Pediatrics, Occupational Therapy

UNM Occupational Therapy Graduate Program is seeking temporary, part-time adjunct faculty to teach courses or problem-based learning in Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and Spring 2027. Anticipated openings include the following subject areas:

• Problem-based learning in orthopedic, neurological, or pediatric occupational therapy
• Leadership and advocacy in occupational therapy
• Community occupational therapy
• Neurological and orthopedics occupational therapy
• Evidence-based practice
• Psychosocial occupational therapy
• Research in occupational therapy

Adjunct faculty may be eligible to receive certain UNM benefits in some cases.

Positions are contingent upon each semester as determined by current course offerings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Entry-level degree in Occupational Therapy
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in New Mexico by start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with university level teaching
• Master’s degree in occupational therapy or a related field
• Teaching or clinical experience in needed content areas
• Experience with problem-based learning
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivating an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities
