Job summary

Pierce County is seeking temporary Parks/Grounds Maintenance Workers (Extra-Hire) to join the Parks and Recreation team. You will perform mowing, trimming, field grooming, custodial work, and assist with special events alongside a team of parks professionals.

Shifts vary from early morning to late evening, seven days a week, including holidays. This is a temporary role with no county benefits, offering outdoor work and a chance to contribute to community spaces.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work in all weather and terrains.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform general parks maintenance: weeding, trimming, mowing.
• Perform facilities cleaning and custodial tasks.
• Work independently and carry out other duties as assigned.
