We are looking for an individual with a strong positive attitude toward blindness, a passion for working with High School students with diverse populations, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
This position provides an opportunity to work with a collaborative team of energetic professionals dedicated to empowering individuals through high-quality training and support. The selected candidate will work two 12-hour overnight shifts up to one weekend per month.
Ability to communicate effectively with retreat participants to ensure safety and code of conduct adherence with all students. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication skills, conveying information and ideas clearly in person, by phone, in groups, through email, video conferencing, or other communication methods.
Actively listens, engages with participants, and provides constructive feedback. Shows emotional intelligence, remains calm under pressure, and communicates in a respectful and supportive manner.
Supports clients in building self-confidence, developing a positive attitude toward blindness, and achieving meaningful success outcomes.
This role will be responsible for ensuring all students participating in our weekend retreat have staff available overnight for any needs that may occur. This individual will be in a leadership position and will need to convey a positive attitude and professionalism with the students they are supporting.
