The Iowa Department for the Blind is seeking a Temporary Overnight Youth Service Staff member to support our Weekend Retreat Program. This is a non-merit, temporary position with two 12-hour overnight shifts up to one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with retreat participants to ensure safety and code of conduct adherence with all students.
• Actively listen, engage with participants, and provide constructive feedback.
• Supports clients in building self-confidence and a positive attitude toward blindness.
• Ensure overnight staff availability for all students' needs during weekend retreats.
