Anthropologie is seeking a Temporary Merchandise Assistant to support daily buying-area operations and merchandise flow. You will collaborate with the market, distribution center, planning, and creative teams to ensure timely web styles and accurate product information.

The role emphasizes cross-functional communication, PO management, sample coordination, and seasonal trend input. This temporary position requires strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure styles are live on the website in a timely fashion.
• Open sample purchase orders, review with buyer, take measurements, pass to appropriate team.
• Work with vendors to request missing samples or samples from the distribution center.
• Provide brand creative/styling team with samples of relative styles on request.
• Update product information in STEP with necessary product details; review Received Not Activated styles weekly.
• Ensure site copy and details are correct; alert team if corrections are necessary.
• Coordinate with buying operations for timely delivery of merchandise.
• Answer emails promptly; act as liaison between vendor and buyer.
• Answer inquiries related to shipping, logistics or payment; understand trade terms.
• Provide vendor reporting as requested; act as point of contact for DC questions.
