Job summary

Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a Clerk for Medical Records on a temporary, full-time basis. The role supports providers and staff by processing medical records requests and performing essential clerical tasks within the EHR system.

The position lasts approximately six months and does not include employer-sponsored benefits, with Earned Paid Sick Time as required by Arizona law. Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either party at any time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Experience in medical records or referrals preferred.
• Weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical records requests according to established policies and procedures.
• Reviews and follows up with outside institutions to ensure incoming medical records are complete.
• Scans and files medical record paperwork accurately in the patient’s chart using the EHR system.
• Maintains and tracks medical records in accordance with laws and CCHCI policies, using the current EHR system.
• Assists Referrals Department to track and complete medical referrals.
• Works assigned weekends as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
