Job summary

Chiricahua Community Health Centers is seeking a Clerk, Medical Records for a temporary, full-time role in Douglas, AZ. You will process medical records requests, scan and file documents, and support the Referrals Department while ensuring compliance with laws and organizational policies.

The position is temporary for about six months and not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits. Earned Paid Sick Time is provided as required by Arizona law; employment is at-will.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical records requests according to policies and procedures.
• Reviews and follows up with outside institutions to ensure incoming medical records are complete.
• Scans and files medical record paperwork accurately in patient charts.
• Maintains and tracks medical records per laws, regulations, and policies using the current EHR system.
• Assists Referrals Department to track and complete medical referrals.
• Works assigned weekends as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
