Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Temporary Material Handlers for a manufacturing company in Spirit Lake, IA. In this role, you'll help keep production running smoothly by ensuring materials are delivered where they're needed, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year material handling or inventory control experience preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn powered industrial trucks and obtain internal certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to production cells and replenish inventory using Kanban.
• Move finished goods to the warehouse and complete documentation.
• Load and unload shipments and manage deliveries.
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts to maintain SAP accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Maintain organized warehouses and support 5S standards.

What You'll Do as a Temporary Material Handler - 2nd Shift

• Transport materials to production work cells and replenish inventory using Kanban processes
• Move finished goods from production areas to the warehouse and complete documentation accurately
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments and manage deliveries
• Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and maintain inventory accuracy within SAP
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Organize warehouse materials, maintain aisles, and support 5S workplace standards
• Assist with recycling, mailroom duties, and other warehouse support tasks as assigned

What You Need to Bring to the Temporary Material Handler - 2nd Shift Role

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of material handling or inventory control experience preferred
• Ability to operate or learn to operate powered industrial trucks and obtain internal certification
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift and lift up to 75 pounds
• Reliable transportation and a dependable attendance record
