Job summary

Sanilac County Community Mental Health is seeking a Substitute Temporary Maintenance Technician (Non Union) to support all CMH buildings. The role involves 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule to ensure coverage, including winter snow removal and building upkeep.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, equipment maintenance, and assisting in safety compliance across sites. Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with at least five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Experience operating and maintaining snow removal equipment, forklifts, and landscaping tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building maintenance across all facility sites, including vent cleaning and wall repairs.
• Perform snow removal and de-icing during winter; flexible hours as needed.
• Ensure maintenance equipment remains in good operating condition.
• Load and unload deliveries and assist with inventory and safety data sheets.
• Provide basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry tasks as required.
