Job summary

The Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of maintenance tasks for the Pastoral Center and facilities department. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with an hourly pay rate of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.

The position reports to the Executive Director of Real Estate and Facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating service and repairs, inspecting systems, maintaining logs, and ensuring safety and quality in all

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of office service and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
• Ability to install, service, replace and repair walls, molding, caulking, drywall, painting, doors, lighting, fixtures, and disposals.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with Pastoral Center and Facilities staff.
• Perform maintenance, service requests, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare maintenance reports for service requests.
• Maintain daily log of contractor work and provide written copies.
• Conduct visual inspections of roofs, drains and building envelopes.
