Job summary

Action Property Management is seeking a Full-time Temporary Building Engineer at our West Ocean luxury association in Long Beach. This role focuses on maintaining common areas, overseeing daily building operations, and coordinating with contractors to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of onsite high rise or mid-rise building engineer experience.
Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Building Code; HOA experience is a plus.
HVAC Certification, EPA/608 License, Fire Pump Certificate, Fire Life Safety Director Certificate preferred.
Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
Hands-on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting experience.
Experience in fire system management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player attitude.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining, correcting defencies, and/or making repairs to all common areas within the Association.
Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies.
Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems to include mechanical, electrical/electronic, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC, and water circulation system.
Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely maintenance and repairs, as well as adherence to quality standards.
