Job summary

Qualifications

• Direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise nursing assistants and day-to-day activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Coordinate shifts and plan nursing services.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and related policies.
• Prepare reports and participate in facility surveys.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff.
• Ensure all nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts and services.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and current procedures.
• Prepare written and oral reports as required.
• Participate in quality assurance and discharge planning.
• Ensure accurate documentation in residents' medical records.
