Job summary

Synergy Fiber in Eugene, OR is seeking a temporary Low-Voltage Technician to support a commercial construction project. You will assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling and low-voltage systems while ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

All experience levels are encouraged to apply; training is available. This site-specific assignment covers installation across telecom rooms, cabinets, cable trays, and related cabling, with emphasis on safety and adherence

Qualifications

  • Experience with structured cabling and low-voltage systems is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling in commercial construction environments.
  • Build and organize telecommunications rooms and equipment closets.
  • Install cable support systems (cable tray, ladder tray, J-hooks).
  • Install and terminate structured cabling, fiber optic, and coaxial cable systems.
  • Install low-voltage systems (security, CCTV, related cabling).
  • Terminate RJ45 connectors, outlets, and patch panels.
  • Test and troubleshoot copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
  • Follow project specifications, installation standards, and safety procedures.
