Job summary

Synergy Fiber in Eugene, OR is seeking a temporary Low-Voltage Technician to support a commercial construction project. You will assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of structured cabling and low-voltage systems while ensuring quality workmanship and safety.

All experience levels are encouraged to apply; training is available. This site-specific assignment covers installation across telecom rooms, cabinets, cable trays, and related cabling, with emphasis on safety and adherence

Qualifications

Experience with structured cabling and low-voltage systems is preferred but not required.
Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
Must be able to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Pull, route, and secure CAT5e/CAT6 cabling in commercial construction environments.
Build and organize telecommunications rooms and equipment closets.
Install cable support systems (cable tray, ladder tray, J-hooks).
Install and terminate structured cabling, fiber optic, and coaxial cable systems.
Install low-voltage systems (security, CCTV, related cabling).
Terminate RJ45 connectors, outlets, and patch panels.
Test and troubleshoot copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site.
Follow project specifications, installation standards, and safety procedures.
