Communications Install Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled Cabling Field Tech to join our Hermiston, OR team. This hands-on role focuses on delivering reliable communications infrastructure and quality installations for our clients.

Ideal candidates have experience with low-voltage cabling, testing, and working in attics or crawl spaces. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, with opportunities for advancement within a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cable.
• Pull and route low-voltage cabling through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable trays.
• Terminate data jacks, patch panels, and fiber connectors with precision and care.
• Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical diagrams on job sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients on-site.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Communications Install Solutions Inc is looking for a skilled Cabling Field Tech to join our growing team in Hermiston, OR. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the field, takes pride in quality installations, and is ready to be a key part of delivering reliable communications infrastructure to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cable
• Pull and route low-voltage cabling through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable trays
• Terminate data jacks, patch panels, and fiber connectors with precision and care
• Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical diagrams on job sites
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients on-site
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards

Requirements:

• Prior experience in low-voltage cabling, structured wiring, or telecommunications installation
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cable testing equipment
• Ability to work in various environments including attics, crawl spaces, and elevated lifts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, professional installations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• BICSI certification or low-voltage license is a plus but not required
