Job summary

Winston Taylor seeks a Temporary Law Student Recruiting Assistant to support our Dallas and Houston offices with the summer associate hiring process. The role is based in Dallas, with in‑office work five days a week and a finite term through March 2027.

You will assist with all aspects of law student and entry‑level recruiting, onboarding, interview programs, and related events, while maintaining data in the recruitment system and supporting special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1+ years of experience in a law firm or client service role preferred.
• Prior recruiting experience is ideal; legal recruiting experience is preferred.
• Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System is preferred.
• Proficiency and experience with social media outlets such as LinkedIn is preferred.
• Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of law student and entry‑level recruiting and hiring for the Dallas and Houston offices.
• Support full cycle recruiting for law students and entry‑level candidates, including soliciting feedback from interviewers and preparing candidate files.
• Assist with onboarding entry‑level and lateral associates, and off‑track attorneys, including collaborating on orientation and integration of the same.
• Help coordinate law student interview programs, sponsorship events, and other law school engagement opportunities.
• Assist with law student interview programs and coordinate schedules and logistics, as well as prepare necessary documents.
• Help plan Quarterly Associate Happy Hours, Welcome Receptions for new attorneys, and other office events while collaborating with the facilities department and vendors.
• Maintain law student and entry‑level hiring data, respond to law school statistic inquiries, design, and administer surveys, and provide data as needed.
• Maintain candidate application information in recruitment database (viDesktop) and ensure accurate and timely entry of the same.
• Provide support on special projects and administrative assignments as assigned.
