YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Temporary Lab Assistant at 6390 Hedgewood Dr, Allentown, PA 18106. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Maintaining a clean and sterile laboratory environment, including waste disposal and sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
2. Proper storage of chemicals, reagents, and supplies, and maintaining adequate stock levels.
3. Cleaning and decontaminating laboratory equipment, glassware, and tools.
4. Preparing and using cleaning solutions as specified.
5. Performing quality control checks such as temperature verification and residue testing.
6. Assisting laboratory personnel with testing procedures as instructed.
7. Maintaining equipment and supplies, performing preventative maintenance.
8. Supporting laboratory information management system (LIMS) operations.
9. Participating in audits and ensuring safety protocols.
10. Managing inventory, including rotation and disposal of expired materials.
11. Completing assigned tasks under supervision and supporting team goals.
12. Performing opening and closing duties as assigned.
13. Cleaning glassware and other containers for reuse.
14. Performing other related duties as needed.

YOUR PROFILE

This is a four-month contract starting approximately July 1, 2025. The pay rate is $18.00/hour.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Entry-level position requiring the ability to follow instructions, basic knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and the ability to operate a vehicle safely if required.

Required Skills: Analytical skills, manual dexterity, knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Work Environment: Laboratory with controlled lighting and temperature, occasional exposure to fumes and chemicals, extended standing, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Use of personal protective equipment required.
