Assist the Property Technician with the daily maintenance and improvement of State Wildlife Areas in Jackson County. Primary duties include but are not limited to: noxious weed control; facility and equipment maintenance; fence repair and construction; mandatory big game animal checks; operating and maintaining vehicles, trailers, weed spraying equipment, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), power tools, and chainsaws; handling animal carcasses; data recording and record keeping; interacting with and answering questions from hunters and anglers. This position will also assist District Wildlife Managers, Biologists, and other Property Technicians with wildlife management related tasks.
Note: there is only one position available in this location. The position is up to 40 hours per week and up to nine months in duration. The rate of pay is fixed and will not change during the season. Hiring and firing is at the supervisor's discretion.
