COLORADO PARKS AND WILDLIFE is seeking a Wildlife Technician IV to support habitat maintenance across Area 14 state wildlife areas. This temporary, up-to-40-hours/week role focuses on facilities, irrigation, and equipment upkeep to ensure safe public access.

This position exists to assist Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff in their efforts to protect, preserve, enhance, and manage the habitat of several state wildlife areas in Area 14; the properties this position is assigned to are Flagler SWA, Hugo SWA, Karval Reservoir SWA, Kinney Lake SWA, and Ramah Reservoir SWA.
The current Wildlife Technician IV supervises this position. This position is designed as a support role and, therefore, will be responsible for working under the supervision of the Wildlife Property Technicians, District Wildlife Managers, and biologists as they implement habitat improvement projects and a wide variety of other wildlife-related responsibilities. This position will assist with the routine maintenance of state wildlife areas, irrigation infrastructure in state wildlife areas, other facilities, and area equipment maintenance, including maintaining all the various buildings and facilities.

Note: There is only one position available in this location. The position is up to 40 hours per week and up to nine months in duration. The rate of pay for this position is fixed and therefore will not change during the season. Hiring and firing is at the supervisor's discretion.
