Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Jessup, Maryland location, with potential travel to Sterling, VA. This temporary role lasts about 6 to 12 months and requires handling onboarding, offboarding, and employee data management.

The position emphasizes multitasking, detail orientation, and independent work. Expect engagement with HR projects, safety protocols, and recruitment support as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR experience required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the HR department in day-to-day operations.
• Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes including new hire paperwork and I-9 verifications.
• Update employee data on intranet systems (Paychex, UKG, D365).
• Support Employee Engagement, Wellness, and recruitment activities.
• Perform routine HR tasks and handle confidential information with discretion.
