Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions is seeking a temporary HEDIS Medical Record Analyst to retrieve, abstract and review medical records for HEDIS reporting. The role runs 4–5 months with start Jan 4 and pays $41–$48 per hour DOE.

The analyst will collect records from EMR/EHR systems, perform reviews to ensure required documentation is present, and log activity in designated systems. This is a non-benefited role.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
• Command of medical terminology; EMR/EHR navigation.
• Ability to solve problems in a clinical data setting.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products recommended.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and DRG coding.
• FACETS experience a plus; healthcare quality experience preferred.
• HEDIS data retrieval/abstraction experience is preferred.
• Associate degree in Nursing or related field with 3 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects and prepares medical records for abstraction.
• Documents retrieval progress for each EMR accessed.
• Communicates with provider offices in a professional manner.
• abstracts specified healthcare data elements for HEDIS reporting.
• Records abstraction findings in paper/electronic tools as directed.
• Share and discuss pursuit strategies with team members.
