Job summary

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is seeking a temporary Writing Center Tutor to assist graduate students (and occasional undergraduates) in developing their writing skills by providing constructive feedback on structure, argumentation, and clarity. This on-site, part-time position offers 5–10 hours per week at $22 per hour.

Responsibilities include consultations with students individually or in small groups, attending monthly staff meetings, and supporting campus outreach.

Qualifications

• Strong writing ability and listening skills.
• Familiarity with academic genres in humanities and sciences preferred.
• Graduate degree or current enrollment in a graduate program required.
