Job summary

Tryfacta, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Accountant I to support centralized accounting functions for a major public agency project in San Jose, CA. You will assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll accounting, fixed asset accounting, and general ledger activities while growing in governmental accounting practices.

The role requires supervision initially, with opportunities to advance to full professional accounting responsibilities within a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting practices.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll accounting and fixed assets is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting duties for analysis, maintenance, and auditing of records.
• Post journal entries for payroll, benefits, accruals, and other transactions.
• Reconcile bank, asset, liability and payroll accounts; maintain ledgers.
• Process invoices, reimbursements, and financial transactions in accordance with policy.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and audit work papers.
• Maintain fixed asset records and related reports.
• Support payroll processing and ensure deductions and compliance.
• Assist with year-end closing, budgets, and audits.
