Job description

Summary:

A global company in the Marine industry is looking to hire a Tool Room Associate to join their warehouse team in Fort Lauderdale.

Schedule: M-F 8am - 5pm

Duties:

1. Fulfilling orders
2. Pick, pack, and ship tool orders
3. Interpret mechanical blueprints and manuals
4. Perform minor repairs on tools and/or equipment parts prior to shipment
5. Sign tools out in the system
6. Return tools when sent back from calibration, update calibration management system, and place the tools in the appropriate storage location
7. Organize and stock the tool crib
8. Operate a forklift
9. Maintain cleanliness around the tool crib & warehouse

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

• Sit-down forklift experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of tools
• Mechanically inclined
• Proficient using hand tools
• Ability to perform minor repairs
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/manuals
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry)
• Stand-up forklift experience
• Proficient using micrometers and calipers
• Knowledge of BAR measurements
• Vocational/Trade School degree
• Rigging experience is a plus
