Temporary Facilities Project Manager
Department: Facilities Supervisor: Associate Vice President of Facilities, Capital Projects and Safety
The Temporary Facilities Project Manager will play a critical role within the Department of Facilities and Campus Services, including interfacing with other department directors, as well as in the development of new facilities and infrastructure, such as academic, administrative and grounds projects. Additionally, this position is responsible for projects on existing facilities including preventive, corrective, and planned building maintenance, building renovations and remodels. Projects will include both minor projects and capital projects, and responsibility for the above areas includes the main campus, north campus, president’s residence, and Costa Rica campus. The Project Manager will also ensure employee and contractor effectiveness, efficient operation of the facilities, and will work productively in each of the functional areas managed, and Interface with the college community and the consortium, providing excellent customer service.
High school graduation plus numerous additional courses, equivalent to an extensive apprenticeship. Bachelor’s degree is desirable; or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position. A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management including dealing with engineers, architects, consultants and contractors.
May provide day-to-day work direction to non-exempt staff as assigned and will supervise and coordinate external vendors, contractors, and consultants associated with assigned projects. Formal performance management and long-term staff development responsibilities remain with Facilities leadership.
This is a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position providing coverage for a leave of absence. The anticipated assignment period is November 1, 2026, up to August 30, 2027; however, the assignment may end earlier with 30 days’ advance notice based on the operational needs of the College and/or the return of the regular employee. Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours may vary based on the needs of the College or department. The position may be required to participate in the Campus Facilities on-call rotation and may occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Budgeted Salary Range: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
