The senior project manager establishes standards, accountability structures, and governance practices that ensure technology and data initiatives are aligned with institutional priorities, regulatory obligations, and the student experience. This role partners with senior leadership, functional owners, data stewards, technical teams, and vendors to prioritize projects, clarify decision rights, resolve barriers, manage risk, and ensure successful adoption of system and process changes across the College.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS****Project Governance & Process Management*** Meet with senior leadership to help guide and prioritize DSI projects and resourcing.* Provide project management by coordinating timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring stakeholders remain informed throughout the project lifecycle.* Establishes standards for system ownership, data stewardship, process documentation, and operational readiness before implementation.* Define project scope, decision rights, milestones, dependencies, risk levels, and accountability structures in partnership with functional owners.* Ensure each project has identified sponsors, business owners, data owners, technical owners, deadlines, and success measures.* Hold project participants accountable for deliverables, decisions, testing, documentation, and timely communication.* Identify stalled, under-resourced, duplicative, or misaligned projects and recommend corrective action to the VP and senior leadership.* Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure plan objectives are met, evaluating successes, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending additional process enhancements.* Collaborate with functional users and technical teams to identify challenges, develop solutions, and communicate system updates in ways that are accessible and actionable for the campus community.**Change Management*** Lead change management planning for system, data, and process changes that affect campus operations.* Develop communication, training, adoption, and transition plans to support successful implementation.* Ensure functional users understand new processes, deadlines, responsibilities, and consequences of non-adoption.* Partner with departments to identify workflow impacts and ensure operational readiness before launch.**Data Management*** Guide the Data Management & Integrity Committee in partnership with all data stewards to develop intentional and comprehensive policies and practices for using and leveraging institutional data as the co-chair.* Operationalize the institutional standards for data definitions, data quality, system documentation, access protocols, reporting logic, and data stewardship.* Coordinate with data stewards to resolve conflicting definitions, inconsistent business practices, and data quality issues.* Serve in the Enrollment management working group as the DSI co-chair to support Strategic enrollment management initiatives.* Oversee the maintenance of institutional data dictionary and data democratization for the institution in partnership with all data stewards.* Foster a data-informed decision-making culture across campus through collaboration, communication, and effective use of reporting and system solutions.**Leadership and Management*** In partnership with the VP, set the annual goals for DSI.* Partner with Information Technology and Finance to ensure maximum utilization of software inventory, coordination between systems, and deduplication of efforts.* Vendor review and management oversight for supported applications.**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**The individual must possess knowledge, skills and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.* A growth mindset.* A passion for people and values them over processes and tools.* A collaborator with a focus on providing solutions based on the requirements and necessary outcomes of those whom we serve.* The aptitude for responding to change over following a set plan.* Ability to gather user requirements and help develop solutions.* Ability to instruct others, both individually and in a group setting.* Ability to interact productively and collaboratively with a diverse campus population.* Ability to prioritize, plan work activities to use time efficiently while satisfying deadlines and expectations.* Provide high-quality customer service.* Speak and write English clearly and persuasively with attention to detail and the needs of the target audience.Education/ Experience: Must have a bachelor’s degree.
