Job summary

DA Brand in Massachusetts is seeking an Equipment Room Coordinator to support interscholastic athletics. You will help manage equipment and uniforms, coordinate with coaches and the Sports Information Director, and ensure timely distribution and return of gear.

The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills, with expected evening and weekend work. Temporary, non-benefited position through January 2027, 40+ hours per week, hourly rate $20–$22.

Qualifications

  • 12th Grade or equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Customer service experience and experience with team athletics and knowledge of team sports is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Evening and weekend work required
  • Microsoft and Google Suite experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment and uniforms for teams to ensure availability for practice and games
  • Assist the Sports Information Director to maintain the electronic inventory
  • Work with the athletic office to ensure understanding of game and practice times, schedules and locations.
  • Communicate directly with coaches regarding game-day operations including distribution/return of uniforms, equipment, and other team-specific requests
  • Assist coaches in assigning uniform numbers and report rosters to the Sports Information Director in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Equipment room team regarding inventory need and rotation of equipment
  • Establish a schedule for all teams to return equipment in a timely manner and issue student accountability points (APs) accordingly.
  • Responsible for all team uniform laundering, including communicating delivery and pick up schedules directly with vendors.
  • Fold, hang and store team uniforms and equipment to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the equipment room area.

Job description

Reporting to the Sports Information Director, and working with the athletic department staff to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment room, and the campus community as a whole with friendly, reliable and excellent service. The Equipment Room Coordinator plays a critical role in the oversight of the operations associated with the equipment and apparel needs for all interscholastic athletic teams. This is a temporary, non-benefitted position that is expected to last until January 2027. 40+ hours per week, flexibility and some weekend work required. Hourly rate is $20-$22/hour commensurate with experience.
