Job summary

Vallejo City Unified School District is seeking an ELPAC Tester (Classified) to support the Academic Achievement & Accountability department. The tester will perform initial and post testing for K-12 students identified as second language learners in Reading and Writing, traveling to diverse school sites daily to complete testing within state guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to work one-on-one with students.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Professional or volunteer work with children’s groups, tutoring, and/or mentoring is preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• The tester will complete date information for each student tested and administer the appropriate test with numerical scoring.
• Travel to various school sites daily to conduct testing according to state and federal timelines.
• Prepare testing materials and review Home Language survey for accuracy.
• Administer the ELPAC test to K-12 students in Reading and Writing, one-on-one.
• Complete initial scoring and coordinate procedures with the Coordinator.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
