Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires appropriate credential as required by the District and the State.
• Ability to manage classroom and communicate with parents.
• Will participate in district programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Teaches reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, health, art, physical education, music and citizenship to pupils.
• Provides planned learning experiences to motivate pupils and optimize instructional time.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior for a productive learning environment.
• Evaluates pupil progress, maintains records, and communicates with parents.
• Identifies pupil needs and collaborates with staff to address health and learning concerns.
• Creates an engaging classroom environment with displays and activity centers.
• Performs basic attendance accounting and related responsibilities.
