Job summary

Northwestern University in Chicago is seeking a Temporary Communications Specialist to write donor acknowledgments for Feinberg School of Medicine donors. You will manage correspondence via Outlook and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and document acknowledgments in CatConnect and OnBase.

The role is 40 hours weekly, start 11/9/2026, end 12/23/2026, with PTO and sick time eligibility. The position focuses on producing gift acknowledgment communications, assisting with data-related tasks, mail merges,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in business administration, data management, or administrative support is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including interaction with donors and alumni.

Responsibilities

• Write donor thank you letters using templates.
• Use CatConnect donor CRM and OnBase document management system.
• Assist with mail merges (Word).
• Format digital and printed documents, including Marketing Cloud eblasts.
• Execute mailings and look-ups in CatConnect.
• Upload donor documentation into the OnBase system.
• Create and prepare Excel spreadsheets.
• Data entry, list management, and data clean-up.
• Schedule and manage calendars.
• Collaborate with Feinberg School of Medicine Donor Relations team.
• Proof and edit stewardship reports and letters.
