The College of New Jersey seeks a Digital Accessibility Specialist to advance accessibility across campus by auditing digital assets, guiding remediation, and partnering with IT, academic technology, and student services. The Accessibility Resource Center collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and guests to advance access within the campus community and to further extend both the mission of The College of New Jersey and the mission of the Division of Inclusive Excellence to persons with disabilities. As part of this effort, ARC promotes awareness of disability as a facet of diversity, with underpinnings of collaborative efforts being rooted in social justice. The College of New Jersey and the Accessibility Resource Center are dedicated to advancing digital accessibility. This role works collaboratively across academic and student affairs units, partnering with faculty, staff, technology services, and students to embed digital accessibility and inclusive design principles throughout the institution. The specialist oversees audits, training, remediation guidance, procurement review, and policy implementation to ensure compliance with relevant laws (including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II/III, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act) and standards (such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA).
