812943 Temporary Desktop Support Technician Boston, MA, 1 month contract. Sigma. Inc. is looking for a Temporary Desktop Support Technician to work onsite with our team located in Boston, MA. This is with Commonwealth of MA and Metropolitan Area Planning Council. Will be required to work onsite at 60 Temple Place.

Description

The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization seeks to temporarily fill a Desktop Support Technician position for up to 40 hours per week to help with an office move. The work will be done in our office in downtown Boston, 10 Park Plaza. The Desktop Support Technician will work with the IT Manager to support the setup of 62 workstations, including monitors, and assist with technology deployment and other IT operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Install monitors and docking stations and test for accuracy.
• Assist staff with connecting laptops to the docking stations.
• Provide audiovisual support to staff, including connecting to conference room equipment.
• Test server and workstation network connectivity.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a closely related field
• Two to four years of experience
• One year of desktop support experience.

Preferred

• Experience installing and configuring monitors, docking stations, and peripheral devices.
• Experience providing in-person technical support to end users.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 11.
• Experience supporting conference room audiovisual equipment and meeting technology.
• Experience supporting office relocations or large-scale workstation deployments.
• Experience with cable management and workstation organization.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
