Salt Lake County is seeking a Temporary Worker responsible for receiving, tracking, and delivering library materials. Candidates must have a valid Utah Driver's License and the ability to lift heavy objects. This position requires driving on designated routes while ensuring the safety and efficiency of service.
Receives, tracks, and deliver's library materials. Allocates incoming shipments, controls inventory, and generates reports. Operates a County truck to deliver materials according to a designated route.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year of related experience driving box truck or other similar delivery vehicles.
Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License in order to drive a County vehicle. Must pass initial and annual driver's license review and complete driver safety training.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 150 pounds; push / pull a loaded hand truck; stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, reach, kneel, squat; and work in confined spaces. Exposure to seasonal weather conditions (both hot and cold) and adverse road conditions and hazards.

TEMPORARY POSITIONS :
An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.
