Pasco School District 1’s Rosalind Franklin STEM Elementary in Pasco, Washington is seeking a Temporary Non-Instructional Paraeducator for crosswalk supervision for the 2026/2027 school year. Open date 08/26/2026, close 09/02/2026 at 4:00pm or until filled.

1.00 day hours per temporary 180-day calendar, salary $21.73–$22.91 per hour. Essential duties include first aid, clear communication with students and staff, directing students across crosswalks, and enforcing safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior paraeducator experience preferred but not required.
• Experience working with students who are special needs preferred but not required.
• Valid First Aid and/or CPR card for infants and children or willing to obtain.
• Prior experience in a K-12 school setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid to provide emergency care.
• Communicate clearly with students, staff, and the public to give or receive instructions.
• Assist with safely directing students through crosswalks to and from school at designated intersections or cross streets.
• Stop and/or direct traffic to allow students to cross safely.
• Provide support or supervision of students, including but not limited to arrival and/or departure, cross walk duty, transit to bus, transit from bus, recess, breakfast/lunch time, hall monitoring, unloading and/or loading wheelchair bound students.
• Assist with reporting misconduct, incidents and/or potential dangers to appropriate building administrator(s) or law enforcement.
• Adhere to District safety policies and/or procedures as well as required program guidelines.
• Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.
• Distribute documents and materials to appropriate staff, students and/or parents.
• Assist with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
