The Estacada School District is seeking atemporary, Licensed School Counselor starting in November 2026 for the duration of the 2026/2027 school year to work at Clackamas River Elementary.

The school counselor works directly with students, strategizes with teams so students are academically, socially, and emotionally successful, plans with the school leadership team for staff development, and communicates with guardians or other stakeholders. The school counselor fosters and builds capacity of the school and the school’s staff to create inclusive practices across school settings. The counselor collaborates with staff to implement academic, social, and emotional support systems of interventions which engage and ensure success for each and every student. The counselor focuses on counseling that is integrated with learning and character education to promote social, emotional and academic progress. The counseloris a part ofthe “I-Team,” is the Section 504 Case Manager, and assists with creating social emotional, and academic support plans. The counselor provides Tier 2 SEL intervention groups to students that are collaboratively selected, and whole class instruction in Second Step. They are a critical member of the school response team.
